What’s Lawpaw? It’s is a student-powered bulletin board and information clearinghouse for the paralegal program at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, New Jersey.

So, what’s on this site? For one, a calendar of exam dates and homework assignments. We will post PDFs of syllabi and class handouts (in case you lose them and can’t reach your prof). To see how this works, take a tour of the homework page.

We’ll also provide links to sites of interest — e.g., fascinating cases, some of which may have been discussed in class, employment sites and online research tools. One basic caveat: always, always double-check with your instructor if you have any doubts about due dates for homework or dates for exams.

We will not post contact information for faculty without first receiving their prior permission.

What else won’t be on this site? Notes from prior classes, copies of prior exams (unless we have permission to post them from the instructor) or completed homework assignments (that’s cheating, folks) and hostile or rude remarks. This will not be a platform for resolving disputes with faculty or students, though suggestions for enhancing the curriculum would be fine.
